Frequently asked questions
Does the watch replace our IT team?
No. We’re extra support for your people. We take the nights, weekends and holidays, triage incidents and handle what we’ve agreed to handle. Your people are called in when needed, following a runbook we design together.
When do our people get woken up?
Only when the runbook says so. Before the watch starts, we agree what we handle ourselves, when to call someone in and who, by system and severity. See how the watch works.
Which environments do you monitor?
AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and on-premises data centres, and mixes of them. See what we monitor.
What about databases and data flows?
We monitor every type of database, including performance, as well as ETL runs and data flows. If a job fails or runs late, it’s dealt with right away.
We take backups. Isn’t that enough?
Backups are only as good as the restore. We test restores automatically, so you know your backups work before you need them.
Will we get too many alerts?
It’s a common problem, and part of what we solve. Experts assess every alert, and we tune the monitoring after go-live so the right things get attention and the noise goes down.
What do we need to give you access to?
That’s settled in the assessment and depends on what we monitor and what we handle ourselves. You decide on access and can change it at any time.
How do we start?
With an assessment of your environment. We look at what’s already monitored, where visibility is missing and what matters most. See how we get started or book an assessment.
